All puppies listed on our website have an estimated range. We calculate these ranges according to their parents’ sizes, breed parameters, the weight of puppies, gender and so on. We are able to offer a weight guarantee for specific pups. This can be found on the pup’s listing with the specific weight. We give this guarantee based on the parents’ history if they have proven to have small puppies on a consistent basis. If your puppy’s weight is very important for you, please search for puppies with a specific guaranteed weight. For the other puppies, we offer estimates and cannot assure you about their sizes at adulthood. We usually create accurate estimates, but it is important to allow a margin of error.

The transition period takes about 10 days and it can cause a level of stress in your pup. The entire environment is new for him, from sights and sounds to smells. To make the adjustment easier, limit playtime with children, avoid leaving him in a confined area for long periods, watch and feed him carefully. Feed him every 2-3 hours, including throughout the night. Give him yogurt, Cesar’s soft food, Royal Canin hard food and chicken rice combination. A decline in your puppy’s health state can appear quickly. Hold your pup in Children Pack’n’Play Pens. A puppy’s normal temperature is 102, so they are used to being very warm. Find the warmest part of your house and put your pup there. After the first 10 days of adjustment, there is no need for such intense watching. If you need any other information, please contact us. Our puppies’ health is a priority for us.

You can change the day of the flight to one of our other flight days to accommodate their schedule. We do not hold the puppy for an extra period of time. VIP Shipping – Your puppy has a personal concierge throughout the entire process. Customers have direct contact with their puppy’s concierge. Your puppy can fly on any day that best accommodates your schedule. We usually fly your puppy on a direct flight, if available. Your puppy is transported to the airport while receiving the full attention of the concierge.
During the flight, puppies are kept in a controlled environment, in a pressurized area of the plane, at 72 degrees. As mentioned previously, Charlotte Dog Club has no control over the flights. We do our best to find the best flight for your puppy. We don’t have control over delayed or canceled flights due to the weather. There are situations in which flights are late, but they still arrive. Avoid accusing the airline company of theft or tell us is a scam because of a delayed flight. Your puppy’s health is our priority. Airlines don’t fly puppies over certain temperatures because they want to make sure puppies are safe and healthy during the flights. You’ll receive from us an email with the flight info, including the tracking and flight number to know exactly where your puppy is. Please, check the flight status before leaving your home. For more information, please visit the site of the company which transports your puppy – www.deltacargo.com or www.aacargo.com.
Yes. The Hold button on the website allows you to place a $200/$400, non-refundable hold on your puppy that comes off the final balance. When a deposit is made, the reserved puppy is removed from our advertising websites. The deposit is non-refundable in order to filter the customers. Relisting a puppy on the advertising websites involves additional costs for us. **IMPORTANT** If you want a specific puppy, but you don’t want to hold him, you may risk losing him. If the puppy is purchased online anytime prior to your arrival, we cannot do anything for you.

We provide medications that diminish the risk of catching intestinal parasites. Albendazole and Marquis are oral medications used to control parasites. Albendazole is effective against giardia, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Marquis is effective against coccidia. The medications don’t need to be refrigerated before you use them. Shake well the syringe with blue tape which contains Albendazole prior to use it. Give your pup after a meal one full day after arrival and continue for 5 days. Use 0.1 ml AM & PM per pound of body weight. Use Marquis in the skinny long syringe without blue tape for 7 full days after arrival. Give 0.2 ml per pound of body weight, shake well before administering it on a full stomach. Give entire syringe via a single dose. Neomycin is in a 3 ml syringe with a clear and yellow tint liquid and is used to control intestinal bacterial buildup such as Campylobacter. Use 0.1 ml per pound of bodyweight AM and PM for 7 days. All the three medications should be administered after a meal and after being well-shaken.
Marquis and Panacur are oral medications that reduce the likelihood of intestinal parasites. We use them to prevent parasites in case the puppies’ immune system is at risk during the transition period. Panacur is effective against giardia, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms, while Marquis is effective against coccidia. These medications don’t need refrigeration. Shake them well before their usage. Shake the 2 inc taller container of Panacur and administer it orally to your puppy after a meal two full days after arrival. Continue the medication for 5 days using 0.25 ml per pound of body weight once a day. If your puppy weighs 2 lbs, give him 0.5 ml once a day for 5 days. Give Marquis to your puppy for 10 full days after arrival. Use 0.2 ml per pound of body weight. Shake it in the skinny long syringe, no blue tape and administer it on a full stomach. Give entire syringe via a single dose.
Generally, symptoms like a cough or sneeze tend to be misdiagnosed. Green discharge or lethargic mood may indicate a serious problem, otherwise, it is only a common irritation caused by the change of the environment. We recommend using a Nebulizer if your vet agrees or Azithromycin (Zithromax), Doxycycline or Cephalexin because they have good results. You can rent a Nebulizer from us, with a $75 deposit that you receive back once it returns to us. Click Rent Nebulizer from the “Warranty” page.
For non-emergency concerns, please use doctorpup.com. If you have an emergency, please call us at 740-469-2445 immediately. Please, keep in mind that taking your pup into an Emergency Vet Hospital means that you assume all costs! We do not cover vet bills resulted from Emergency Care. Sometimes, we are able to provide a simple remedy to a situation which may cost a lot of money at a veterinarian. Be aware that early detection is the key to prevent negative situations.
Generally, small-town vets are the best and they are more inexpensive. You can find a good one through recommendations. You can search reviews sites like yelp.com to find a veterinarian in your area and see reviews from customers. Important! Don’t use Banfield Hospitals and VCA Hospitals. Your warranty will be void if you take your pup to Banfield or VCA. There are lots of misdiagnoses, over medicated and extremely high vet bills at these hospitals.
Every pup under 2 lbs, especially Yorkies and Maltese need 1 CC of Karo Syrup every 2-4 hours. Please, use baby food right after the arrival of your puppy. Providing your pup with baby food involves giving him one full syringe of baby food every hour, including at night. If you have to resort to this feeding, call us. Depending on the size of your dog, the feeding may be different. Karo or Corn Syrup is used in order to increase the blood sugar level. If you notice your pup is sluggish and lethargic, give him some Karo Syrup. If this happens, please give us a call. If your puppy runs for several minutes, he is likely to consume his energy and to deal with a sugar crash. Small puppies need 1 cc of Karo Syrup every 2-4 hours in addition to eating. Keep the syrup in the diet until the puppy eats 20-30 pieces of dry food every 2-4 hours. You can also mix Karo in the water.
Royal Canine Mini Starter Baby Doll Hard Food.
Be aware that puppies are like babies and need to be fed every 2 to 3 hours. Furthermore, small breeds are different than larger breeds, so they need to be handled differently. Allow your pup to have 24/7 access to their food. Over-eating is rare among small breeds and usually doesn’t happen until a year of age. In addition to their hard food, it is recommended to give your pup rotisserie chicken, Dannon Activia Yogurt, Puppy Cesar’s Soft Food, Raw Ground Beef, Honey and Caro Syrup to entice your pup to eat. Sometimes, small breed puppies deal with the loss of their appetite because of the change of their environment. Please, keep in mind that the encouragement you give your pup during the transition is not causing bad habits. We recommend a high protein diet that has proven to have effective results during the transition period.
The objective is to get your puppy to eat dry food as soon as possible. If you need help regarding the feeding schedule for your pup, please let us know. Provide your puppy with dry food and water on a constant basis. Keep in mind that, the more active he is, the more he should be eating and drinking. We recommend Cesar Soft Food, which is wet food and entices your pup to eat the dry food. Depending on the size, it is advisable to mix ¼ or ½ of Cesar’s packet with a handful of dry dog food. If your puppy gets accustomed to this type of food to eat the dry food, he should eat every 2-3 hours of this mixture. Karo or Corn Syrup is used in order to keep a normal blood sugar level. If you notice your pup is lethargic, gives him Karo Syrup and contact us to inform about his state of health. It is also possible that your pup has a sugar crash if he is very active and consumes his energy. Small puppies need to have 1 cc of Karo Syrup every 2-4 hours in addition to eating. Keep in mind you should give Karo Syrup to your puppy until he starts to eat at 20-30 pieces of dry food every 2-4 hours. You can also mix Karo in the water. Baby food is used after the arrival before your puppy gets accustomed to the dry food. Give a full syringe of baby food every hour, including at night (give your puppy 2-3 syringes of baby food twice a night). Depending on the size of your dog, the feeding can vary.
