The Charlotte Dog Club is a network of professional breeders. They are all either state and/or USDA licensed and inspected. The breeders have to go through an interview and inspection process by the owners of the the Club and their Veterinarian. This helps to ensures that the breeder is taking excellent care of the puppies and parents. All partner breeders have to abide by the AKC good breeding standards, this includes an exercise and socialization program for the parents and puppies.

The puppies are priced based upon their size, color, and conformation. The price does not interfere with the health of our puppies. All of our puppies are health checked by our veterinarian.

Designer puppies are very popular due to their adorable features. Designers can also be called crosses or hybrids. Our designers are F1’s unless otherwise specified, which means the parents are 100% full-blooded, producing 50/50 offspring. For example, a Morkie is created from a 100% Yorkshire Terrier and a 100% Maltese.

Every puppy has an internal number, to identify them, called a microchip. They are microchipped before their photo is taken. This chip number is printed on the receipt.

We like for all of our puppies to be a minimum of 2lbs before they join his/her forever home. We will contact you before your appointment to explain the situation and reschedule your pick-up appointment. This is in the best interest of your puppy and we appreciate your understanding.

Puppies are listed on our site throughout the week, if you are looking for something specific, we recommend you placing a Upcoming Litter deposit.

We base the estimated adult weight of the puppy off of the parent’s weight. If you click on the ancestry tab then it will tell you specifics about the puppy’s parents. Keep in mind that sometimes puppies may get bigger or smaller than their parents and we are not guaranteeing you the listed weight, it is an estimate.

Our puppies are at our partner breeders homes until the posted date available. Most of our puppies have a deposit placed on them before their availability date. We highly recommend that you place a deposit on your desired puppy to ensure he/she is available for a meet-and-greet at our club. When you meet the puppy, if  you are not pleased for any reason,  we will be glad to transfer your deposit towards another puppy.

Most of our puppies are well suited for children, we focus on breeding pups that have great temperaments and will make great family pets. We will be glad to speak to you in person to help ensure that you are adopting a puppy that is the right fit for your family. Keep in mind, the age of your child and the adult size of the puppy.

The puppies that we adopt are a little too young to be housebroken. We do have a great dog trainer here at the Club that you could speak to about any training questions you may have. You can also enroll your puppy into our Puppy Preschool program.

Puppy Preschool

Yes, if the person adopting the puppy or their spouse is active or retired military, we will extend a $100 discount. Thank you for your service.

We appreciate our clients coming back to us for their second puppy. To show our appreciation, we are extending a $100 discount.

Yes, we offer a sibling discount of $100 off the second puppy. We use the word “sibling” because the two dogs will be siblings in their new home, therefore the puppies are not required to be out of the same litter.

The Charlotte Dog Club is a club of breeders. They are against puppy mills. The breeders take great pride in the quality of puppies they adopt through the Charlotte Dog Club. They work hand-in-hand with the AKC and always put the dogs welfare first. Because of the great quality of parents they have in their network, they give a 10 year health guarantee of their puppies. The Charlotte Dog Club is responsible for taking care of the clients for the club of breeders, you will have access to their  puppy care line and team of professionals, including the certified a trainer.

The puppies at the Club are too young to be fully vaccinated and are at a higher risk to contract any illnesses, so for disease prevention reasons, our veterinarian does not allow any other dogs on the property.

We strongly recommend that you pay in full for your puppy at the Club after you have seen the puppy in person. At that time, you can pay with Visa/Mastercard on our physical terminal.
American Express/Discover is not accepted. If you need to pay for your puppy before adoption day, you may do so by a wire transfer and proper documentation.

After deciding on the puppy that you want, click the yellow button that says “Reserve Now!”. You will be directed to a page that shows you the charges and lets you choose additional items that your puppy might need. You will be directed to the order page, fill out the boxes and click “confirm the order”. We will contact you after we have received your order and schedule pick-up or travel arrangments.

If you visit with the puppy that you placed a deposit on at the Club and find that it is not the right personality match or if you are not pleased for any reason, we will be happy to show you other puppies that are available at that time. We can transfer your deposit or  refund your deposit at that time. If you wish to transfer your deposit before visiting with the puppy you placed your original deposit on then there will be a $200 transfer fee.

A FaceTime is not going to give you a correct depiction of the puppy’s personality. The puppy is looking at a phone screen and does not understand that you are on the screen. In order to be eligible for a refund of your deposit, you need to visit with the puppy in person.

Your puppy already has a microchip. By enrolling the microchip you will be identified as your puppy’s owner, which ensures that you can be contacted immediately once your lost pet is found.

If your pet is lost or stolen and your chip is not enrolled, then it could be assumed that he or she does not have an owner.

An F1 is a first generation, which is a purebred crossed with another purebred. An F1B is a designer breed crossed back to a Poodle.

For example:
F1- Cavalier X Poodle
F1B- Cavapoo X Poodle

The transitional period normally takes around 10 days, during that period your puppy may not want to eat well. The entire environment is new for him/her, from sights and sounds to smells. To make the adjustment easier, you should allow him/her to have plenty of rest time in a safe place; that is why a crate is important. Please, feed as we have directed in your care video and give us a call if your puppy is not eating enough or if he/she doesn’t have at least 2 bowel movements a day. A decline in your puppy’s health state can appear quickly. Our puppies’ health is our top priority.

We strongly recommend crate training!  We have available crate kits at the Club that you can pick up on adoption day.

It is important that you teach your puppy how to walk on a leash at a young age. We recommend that you walk your puppy using a harness, NOT a collar. A collar can put too much pressure on your puppy’s developing trachea. Do not leave your puppy unattended with his/her harness on, your puppy could potentially chew it off.

Yes! You can certainly change your puppy’s name to anything you’d like.

It is normal for dogs to be protective of their territory. Their territory can be your home or even your car, therefore, it can cause your current dog to be more on edge/defensive if they meet where your current dog is commonly socialized. It is best to introduce them in an area where your current dog does not frequently visit, like a neighbors yard.

PERSONAL NANNY FLIGHT | $999 / $1250

With the personal nanny experience, you can be rest assured that your puppy has one-on-one attention.

Yes. You can place a deposit on your puppy by hitting the button ” Reserve Now!” You can place a $400, refundable deposit to hold your puppy. When a deposit is made, the reserved puppy is removed from our website. We will hold the puppy for you at the Club, for free, up to 4 days past your puppy’s date available. If you are unable to pick your puppy up within that time frame, we ask that your puppy enters Puppy Preschool for training (ask associate for details and pricing).

If you are unable to pick up your puppy within 4 days talk to us about Puppy Preschool (if space is available). It is important for young puppies development to start training and socialization at a young age.

Since we will not be able to verify your ID in person we request a picture of the cardholder with a photo ID next to their face for verification. Along with a picture of the credit card (we only need to see the last 4 of the number and the name on the card in this photo).

When you adopt your puppy he/she will be up-to-date on all vaccinations. It is important that you finish out the vaccinations. Puppies will continue to get vaccinations until around 16 weeks of age. Show your veterinarian the vaccinations that we have administered. They will be printed on the invoice and your veterinarian will advise you when the next vaccinations should be administered.

You will be sent home with some preventative meds. Follow all directions on the take-home paper and call us if you have any questions.

Safeguard is a dewormer. We will send you home with pre-dosed syringes to administer. It is good practice to do a preventative round of dewormer whenever there is an environmental change. Give the entire syringe orally, refer back to the take-home video on how to properly administer.

When puppies change environments it is very stressful. When pups are under stress their immune system drops and they can be more susceptible to things such as coughing or sneezing. It’s important to make sure your puppy is getting enough sleep and food during he first 10 days in your home. The Dog Club will also send you home with Probiotics to help your puppies immune system. Green discharge or lethargic mood may indicate a serious problem. If you are concerned about your puppy, call us or your veterinarian immediately.

If you believe something is wrong with your puppy then you are to notify us ASAP. Keep in mind that we do not reimburse for vet bills, we will be glad to advise you to the best of our ability. Please, read our health warranty over in its entirety.

Generally, small-town vets are the best and they are more educated. You can find a good one through recommendations. You can search for reviews on google and see what other clients are saying. We do not recommend large chain hospitals, our clients have had very disappointing experiences and we want your new puppy to have the best possible Vet experience. We do not cover any warranty claim from Banfield Pet Hospitals (Petsmart) or Thrive (Petco). We have made this decision based on the fact that our clients have had disappointing experiences with them in the past and we want all of our puppies to have a positive Veterinarian experience.

Abide by our recommended feeding. In addition to that: 1 hour after meals, you need to syringe your new puppy 9cc (3syringes) of just baby food/karo. Specific directions will be on your care video and on your take-home sheet. If you don’t think your puppy is eating enough, please reach out to our 24 puppy care line (704) 781-7639.

Purina pro Plan puppy is what we feed the majority of our small breed puppies.

You need to call our puppy care team (704) 781-7639. Be aware that puppies are like babies and need to be fed every 2 to 3 hours. Furthermore, small breeds are different than larger breeds, so they need to be handled differently. Allow your pup to have 24/7 access to their dry kibble food. Over-eating is rare among small breeds. In addition to their hard food, it is recommended to give your pup rotisserie chicken or yogurt, to entice your pup to eat. Sometimes, small breed puppies deal with the loss of their appetite because of the change of their environment. Please, keep in mind that the encouragement you give your pup during the transition is not causing bad habits. We recommend a high protein diet that has proven to have effective results during the transition period.

We do strongly recommend that you continue to feed your puppy Pro Plan Puppy. If you choose to change brands, please do NOT do so during the transitional period (first 10 days). We would like it if you fed the puppy the way we fed him/her at the club. Your puppy needs to have protein for proper development, make sure that if you choose to change brands DO NOT feed a vegetarian food. Start with 75% Pro Plan with 25% new food for 3 days. Next, 50% Pro Plan with 50% new food for 3 days. Next, 25% Pro Plan with 75% new food for 3 days. We also recommend placing your puppy on a prebiotic during the change in food, because oftentimes a change in diet can affect their little bellies.
