Registration Papers

All puppies on the Charlotte Dog Club website are adopted on behalf of our breeders. In some cases, we do not receive registration papers upon puppy acquisition. In most situations, we have all the registration papers we need within 60 days. In specific situations, breeders are unable to provide us with the registration papers and we have no control over the outcome. If registration papers are very important to you, please, make sure we are in their possession prior to picking up your puppy. The majority of our customers acquire puppies as family pets and they do not need registration papers. We will do our best to provide you with what we have promised.

Date of birth – DOB on registration papers are always correct. In cases when we are waiting for the papers, breeders give us approximate DOB that may not always be accurate.

Designer Puppies

All of our designer puppies are the first-generation F1 unless otherwise declared, meaning the mother and the father are purebred. You can check out the ancestry tab to see specifics about your puppy’s parents.

Home-for-Life

We understand that sometimes puppies do not work out in their new home. If you are not wanting to keep your puppy, we ask that you do not take the puppy to an animal shelter, rescue group, or to anyone that will not give the puppy a permanent home. We ask that you contact us and we will cordinate a permanent family. We are NOT allowed to bring your puppy back to the club for disease prevention reasons. The goal of this program is to keep our puppies out of shelters and rescue groups. Charlotte Dog Club and your puppy’s new family are unable to offer any sort of monetary refund or reimbursment for this service. This is not an instant service, it may take some time for us to line up a permanent home.

Adult Size & Weight Estimates

We are able to provide estimated adult weights on the puppies profile page, that is based on their parents’ size and breed history. Some breeds can be hard to accurately estimate, especially those between a larger breed and a smaller breed (ex: Mini Bernedoodle). There are cases in which puppies may be smaller or larger than the estimated provided weight. The Charlotte Dog Club does not guarantee adult weight.

Right of Refusal or Re-listing of Puppy:

The Charlotte Dog Club has the right to refuse an adoption to any person for any reason. If you do not have communication with us within 48 hours after adoption then the Charlotte Dog Club has the right to relist your puppy and your deposit will be forfeited . If you do not show up for your scheduled pick-up appointment and do not communicate with us within 24 hours, the Charlotte Dog Club has the right to re-list the puppy and your deposit will be forfeited.

Hereditary & Congenital Disorders

All puppies that Charlotte Dog Club sells have been checked for specific disorders before leaving our club. The parents of the puppies have been checked to be free and clear of any disorders.

Photos

We take photos of our puppies when they are between 1-9 weeks of age. You may request a photo of the puppy once the puppy has arrived at the Charlotte Dog Club on his/her date available. We microchip the puppies for accurate identification when we take their photo for the site, that way you can be ensured the puppy that you reserved is the puppy that you take home. Puppies can change in physical appearance as they age.

Deposit Switching

We do not allow you to switch your deposit until you have visited with your reserved puppy in person. At that point if you realized they are not the right personality match, then we will transfer your deposit to another puppy, put your deposit on hold, or issue a refund. If you wish to switch your deposit before you have visited with your puppy, we can do so, but there will be a $200 fee.

Boarding

We request that clients pick their puppy up within 4 days after their date available. If you are unable to do so, there will be a $50/day boarding fee for every day past the 4 free days. Management has to approve the boarding. We reserve the right to deny boarding for any reason and set limits with regards to length of time in boarding.

Legal Jurisdiction

If you decide to adopt your puppy from the Charlotte Dog Club, you’ll be asked to agree with our warranty policy in its entirety prior to checking out. As stated in our policy, you understand and agree that any civil action against Charlotte Dog Club must take place in the state of North Carolina in Rowan County.
