All puppies on Charlotte Dog Club are adopted on behalf of our breeders. In some cases, we do not receive registration papers upon puppy acquisition. In most, we have all the registration papers we need within 60 days. In specific situations, breeders are unable to provide us the registration papers and we have no control over the outcome. If registration papers are very important to you, please, make sure we are in their possession prior to picking up your puppy. The majority of our customers acquire puppies as family pets and they don’t need registration papers. We’ll do our best to provide you with what we have promised.
Date of birth – DOB on registration papers are always correct. In cases when we are waiting for the papers, breeders give us approximate DOB that may not be always accurate.
Refunds are normally processed within 15 days of the request and can take up to 10 days to post to your bank account. We don’t give refunds for vet bills. All sales are final. We only offer a replacement puppy as mentioned in our warranty policies.
All our designer puppies are the first-generation F1 unless otherwise declared, meaning the mother and the father are purebred. You can check out the ancestry tab to see specifics about your puppy’s parents. Please, be aware of the fact that parents are not DNA tested. It is possible that there is another breed in further back generations although the mother and the father resemble breed and breed’s standard.
Friends for Life
We understand that sometimes puppies do not work out in their new home. If you are wanting to not keep your puppy, we ask that you do not take the puppy to an animal shelter, rescue group or to anyone that will not give the puppy a permanent home. We ask that you contact us and we will cordinate a perminent family. We are NOT allowed to bring your puppy back to the club for disease prevention reasons. The goal of this program is to keep our puppies out of shelters and rescue groups, Charlotte Dog Club and your puppies new family are unable to offer any sort of monetary refund or reimbursment for this service. This is not an instant service, it may take some time for us to line up a perment home.
Adult Size & Weight Estimates
We are able to provide estimated adult weights on the puppies profile page, that is based on their parents’ size, breed history. Designer breeds can be hard to accurately estimate, especially those between a larger breed and a smaller breed (ex: mini Bernedoodle). There are cases in which puppies may be smaller or larger than the estimates provided at adulthood. If weight and size are very important for you, make that very cleat to the associate you are working with.
Weight Guarantee & Use of the term “TEACUP”
“Teacup” puppies are smaller breed puppies. They usually stay under 8lbs when they are adults but there is no guarantee. Sometimes puppies that are our of small parents can get bigger than their parents. Keep in mind we are working with animals and we give you the best estimate that we can.
Hereditary & Congenital Disorders
All puppies that Charlotte Dog Club sells have been checked for specific disorders before leaving our club. The parents of the puppies have been checked to be free and clear of any disorders. Adopting a small breed puppy includes the risk for disorders such as knee failures, hip failure, and liver failure. Although this risk is minimal, you need to understand that small breed puppies may have specific disorders due to their small sizes.
We take photos of our puppies when they are between 5 and 9 weeks of age. To prevent any type of confusion, refresh your page before making an adoption. You may request a photo of the puppy once the puppy has arrived at the Charlotte Dog Club on its date available. If you notice any discrepancy at the time you pick up your puppy, notify our staff before you take possession of the dog.
We do not allow you to switch your deposit until you have visited with your reserved puppy in person. At that point if you realized it is not the right personality match then we will transfer your deposit to another puppy or we can hold your deposit it for up to 6 months
